The map was realised by interpretation of Landsat TM multispectral images (acquired in two separate dates, in spring and summer 1997 and 1998) according to the standards of CORINE Land Cover 4th level legend.
The interpretation was calibrated, integrated and verified with field checks and using the aerial photographs of the 1989 “Volo Italia”.
Data concerning the 4th level of the CORINE legend were both obtained from the Project INEA CASI 3, available on December 1999 and from a more detailed interpretation of imagery.
